Joseph Howard Driver, 81, of Clanton died Sunday, April 1, 2012.

He was born on Saturday, July 26, 1930, in Clanton, son of the late Joseph Ress Driver and the late Ruth Kate Easterling Driver.

He was an equipment operator.

Surviving are his wife, Thomasine P. Driver of Clanton; son, Joseph Dewayne (Aimee) Driver of Clanton; daughter, Machelle (Stanley) McCranie of Harpersville; grandson, Adam Blake McCranie of Harpersville; granddaughter, Lilly M. Driver of Thorsby; step-granddaughter, Alyssa Jones of Clanton; two brothers, Billy Joe Driver of Clanton and Don (Sue) Driver of Clanton; special caregiver, Neise Oden of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 3 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Brooks and the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

Tom Allen Seale

Thomas “Tom” Allen Seale, 70, of Clanton, died Thursday, April 5, 2012.

He was born Thursday, June 26, 1941, in Wilsonville, the son of the late Elmer Seale and the late Annie Chappell Seale. He was a general manager.

Surviving are his wife, Sherry Seale of Clanton; daughter, Lori (Carroll) Esposite Jr. of Jemison; brother, Joe E. (Pat) Seale of Clanton; sister-in-law, Billie (Steve) Butcher of Decatur, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, Elmer and Annie Seale, preceded him in death.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Clanton. Services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church with Father Bruce Bumbarger and the Rev. Randy Reed officiating.

Haylee Brooke Burks

Haylee Brooke Burks, age 7, of Randolph, passed away March 31, 2012, in Northport.

She was born in Shelby County on Nov. 24, 2003, the daughter of Micah Joe Burks Jr. and Tanya Bailey Burks. Haylee was a second-grade student at Jemison Elementary School.

She is survived by: mother, Tanya Bailey Burks of Randolph; father, Micah (Sharie) Burks of Jemison; sister, Natalee Burks of Randolph; sister, McKenzie Burks of Jemison; grandparents, Scott and Wanda Bailey of Randolph; grandparents, Harrell and Faye Jones of Jemison; great-grandmother, Maudine Riley; great-grandparents, Bill (Minnie) Grover; great-grandparents, Jerry (Carolyn) Bailey; great-grandmother, Irene Wyatt; aunt, Brandy Bailey; aunt, Celina Fansler; uncle, Chris Fansler; along with a host of other family and friends

Her great-grandfather, Jesse Wyatt, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 6, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Church at Bethel located at 10042 Collins Chapel Road in Thorsby.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Hughes, the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Haylee’s name at Regions Bank in Jemison.

James Steven Lindsey

James Steven Lindsey, age 39, of Thorsby, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012.

His father, James “June Bug” Lindsey, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Lindsey; mother, Margie Lindsey; daughter, Crystal Lindsey; son, Derek Lindsey; sisters, Donna Jackson and Tammy Poe (David Eiland); nieces, Tamela Poe, Stephanie Putnam (Brad) and Dana Jackson; nephews, Teddy and Trevor Poe, Donnie Jackson (Haylee) and Breydon and Parker Edmondson; great nieces, Brandy and Brooke Putnam, and great nephew, Ben Hayes.

Erman Harold Sansom

Erman Harold Sansom, age 64, of Clanton, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012.

He was born on Tuesday, December 16, 1947, in Chilton County, the son of Willie Clyde Sansom and the late Minnie Pearl Driver. He was an automotive recondition manager.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Sansom of Clanton; son, Eric Harold (Hope) Sansom of Clanton; father, Willie Clyde Sansom of Clanton; brother, Mickey (Deborah) Sansom of Thorsby.

His mother, Minnie Pearle Sansom, as well as James Sansom and Donald Sansom preceded him in death.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Glad Tidings Church of God.

Services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church of God with the Rev. Jim Shannon and the Rev. Odell Bryant officiating.

Aubrey Randall Burnette, 73, of Clanton died Friday, March 23, 2012, at St. Vincent’s in Birmingham.

He was born on Friday, March 10, 1939, in Chilton County, the son of the late Cobb Burnette and the late Willie Lee McKinley Burnette. He was a produce manager.

Surviving are his wife, Fay Headley Burnette of Clanton; brother, Eason (Jerrye) Burnette of Clanton; special niece, Deborah (Joe) Dennis of Clanton; special nephew, Keith (Pam) Burnette of Jemison; special nephew, Jim (Linda) Thompson of Bessemer; and special nephew, Stacey (Carol) Headley of Memphis, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his brother, E.J. Burnette; brother, Horace Burnette; brother, Oscar “Al” Burnette; sister, Hazel Childers; and sister, Margaret Coggins.

Ronald A. Atchison

Ronald A. “Ronnie” Atchison, age 59, of Thorsby, passed away on March 25, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Maplesville on Oct. 22, 1952, the son of the late Miles Gilbert Atchison and the late Claudia Latham Atchison. Mr. Atchison was a truck driver.

He is survived by: brother, James Gilbert Atchison of Clanton; brother, Donald Wilbert Atchison of Verbena; and sister, Lena Louise Oates of Jemison; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise Emfinger, age 92, of Jemison, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, at Bolton Funeral Home in Columbiana with Bro. Robert Sandifer officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emfinger is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Emfinger; daughters, Imogene E. Deskins and Katherine Rene (Pee Wee) Avery; and sons, Clarence Ronald Emfinger and James Robert Emfinger.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane (John) Gibb and Shelia (Glen) Gothard; sons, Charlie (Evelyn) Emfinger, George Emfinger and David Emfinger; 31 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 34-great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Rickey W. Mitchell Jr.

Rickey W. Mitchell Jr. died March 14 at the age of 31.

Preceded in death by father Rickey W. Mitchell Sr. and son Hunter W. Mitchell.

He is survived by two beautiful children, Katelyn and Dalton Mitchell, a loving mother Sharon Mitchell, one brother Bobby Mitchell, two sisters Shelley Mitchell and Stacey Sindley, grandmother Shirley Jones, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, a host of cousins and many friends.

He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Memorial services will be held March 20 between 5-7 p.m. at Calvary Hill Church on Highway 191 in Jemison.

Marvin “Bull” Robinson, 68, of Jemison died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Trinity Hospital, Birmingham.

He was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1943, in Alabama, son of the late Sylvester Robinson and the late Lucille Porter Robinson.

He was a lineman with Alabama Power Company.

Surviving are his wife, Joan N. Robinson of Jemison; two daughters, Paige R. (Brent) Scruggs of Clanton and Leighsa Robinson of Jemison; son, Shane (Kim) Robinson of Jemison; three brothers, Junior Robinson of Jemison, Jerry Robinson of Jemison and Terry Robinson of Jemison; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, March 13 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.
