Robinson 95 years young

Wilma Robinson (born Feb. 11, 1915) celebrated her 95th birthday at The Gardens of Clanton with her family and fellow residents.
Family members attending were her sons, Phillip Robinson of Round Rock, Texas; and Joe Robinson and his wife, Jane, of Pelham. Others present were her niece, Norma Martin and her husband, Jimmy; and Louise McReynolds of Thorsby.
In honor of the occasion, The Gardens presented her with a beautiful cake and a bouquet of flowers. Everyone cheered and sang “Happy Birthday.”
Wilma beamed with joy and responded by saying, “This is the best place to be. They treat me so good here.”

Smith celebrates 2nd birthday

Claire Marie Smith turned 2 years old March 17, 2010. She plans to celebrate her birthday with a princess party on Saturday, March 20 at her parents’ home with friends and family members.
Smith is the daughter of Randy and Melia Smith of Jemison and the granddaughter of Sue and Rufus Downs of Abbeville and Al and Ellen Jones of Randolph.
She also has two brothers, John and Brent.

Gothard is 2

Anna Elizabeth Gothard turned 2 on Friday, Feb 5.
She celebrated her birthday with a Candy Land theme party at Union Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall with lots of family and friends and her big brother, Tyler.
Gothard is the daughter of Scotty and Tanya Gothard and the granddaughter of Randall and Susan Cleckler, and Randy and Terri Gothard. She is the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Welch and Ann Jones.

Scott turns 2

Memphis Cole Scott celebrated his 2nd birthday on Feb. 6.
Helping him celebrate were his sister, Emma Grace, many friends and family members.
Scott is the son of Shane and Beth Scott of Jemison, and the grandson of Tim and Debbie Scott of Thorsby and Randall and Susan Cleckler of Jemison.

Woodall turns 2

Maddox Fisher Woodall of Clanton celebrated his 2nd birthday Jan. 17. His party was held on Sunday, Jan. 24 at the home of his parents, Jennifer and Matt Woodall, and sister, Mattie Ruth. Maddox was given a blue and brown themed birthday party.  He celebrated with chocolate and blue cupcakes made by his grandmother. His party was planned and decorated by Wendy Bryan of Thorsby. Guests included his grandparents, Gerald and Jean Coats; cousins, Jordan, Jessica and Jackson Coats and Micah Drinkard; and aunts and uncles from Clanton and Greenville.

Williams celebrates 2nd birthday

Mary Leigh Williams, daughter of Daron and Mandy Williams, turned 2 on Jan. 22. She celebrated with a host of friends and family at a “Hello Kitty” party on Saturday. Williams is the granddaughter of Neil and Jeanette Williams of Thorsby and Terry and Lynn Robinson of Jemison.

Payton Thomas Edwards will celebrate her 1st birthday on Monday, Nov. 16.
Edwards is the daughter of Don and Beth Edwards of Lomax. She is the granddaughter of Rickey and Sandy Edwards of Verbena.

Burnette 95 years young

 

Henry Burnette turned 95 on Sept. 23.
Burnette has one child, Catherine Burnette Horn of Arizona; two grandsons, Steve Forister of California and Ken Forister of Maryland; great grandchildren, Matthew Forister of California and Tera Lynn Forister Lamarre of North Carolina; great-great grandchildren, Taylor Lamarre, Paige Lamarre, Allyson Lamarre and Jack Stephen Lamarre, all of North Carolina; and two sisters, Alberta Burnette Gilmore of Hueytown and Elnora Burnette Smith of Bessemer.
Burnette is a native of Alabama, living in the Mineral Springs and Jemison areas as well as Bessemer. 
He has also lived in Virginia and West Virginig, working in the coal mines during WWII; Ohio, and California to name a few.
He has been happy at his home at The Gardens of Clanton for about seven months.

Deavers turns 2

 

Lexie Deavers turned 2 Sept. 13. She celebrated with family and friends.
Deavers’ party theme was ballerinas, tiaras and crowns, all in pink and white. Her cake was designed by her mother and provided by the Cake Factory in Clanton. The two-tiered cake was enjoyed by all along with lunch from Chappy’s Deli. 
Shay Cozart, a dancer from Troy University, performed a ballet dance to a Disney Princess song. The boys enjoyed a castle moon walk while the girls received tutus and crowns.
Deavers is the daughter of Josh and Holly Deavers of Jemison and the granddaughter of Steve Yeargan, Robin and Randy Yeargan, and Greg and Pam Deavers.

Sarah Johnson turned 3 years old and celebrated her birthday Sept. 12 with a princess party.
Friends and family attended the party, including her great-great aunt, Lynette Johnson, and great grandmother, Libby Hudsons.
Johnson is the daughter of Cody and Audrey Johnson and the granddaughter of Tommy and Cynthia Cronier and Mike and Tamey Johnson.
