Melia Schoener and Randall Smith, both of Jemison, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ellen Jones of Maplesville. She is the granddaughter of Sue and Rufus Downs and the late John T. Seales.
Schoener is a 1996 graduate of Maplesville High School.
The prospective groom is the son of Howard Smith and the late Mildred Smith of Maplesville.
He is a 1979 graduate of Maplesville High School and later earned a degree as a machinist. Smith is employed at the International Paper mill in Prattville.
