Charles Edward Gore, 86, of Clanton died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Hatley Health Care, Clanton.
He was born on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 1923, in Chilton County, son of the late Billy Green Gore and the late Mammie Ella Marcus Gore.
He was a painting contractor.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Willodean Gore of Clanton; son, Harry Gore of Shelby; granddaughter, Sherry Thornton of Thorsby; and grandson, Tony Gore of Clanton.
Friends were received from 10-12, Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Collins Chapel Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 12 p.m. at Collins Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Hilyer officiating.
