Margie Ree Edwards, 76, of Clanton died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at her residence.
She was born Friday, Nov. 11, 1932 in Georgia, daughter of the late William Knott and the late Lula Bell Wellborn.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her son, Steve Raymond of Clanton; four grandsons, Steven (Deana) Raymond II of Calera, Michael S. Raymond of Newnan, Ga., Adam W. Raymond of Clanton and Matthew W. Raymond of Clanton; granddaughter, Valeria R. Raymond of Newnan, Ga.; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Gloria Blair Stanton of Bennettsville, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Edwards.
Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery.
Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery.
